Ask your Question, We'll find an Answer...

What's Up IPN! I started this blog to see just how many of us out there have questions. Rather it be pertaining to the Network, to Financial Aid, Classes, Meal Plans, Jobs, Transitioning into College Life, Greek Life, Living on Campus vs Off, About ECU, the Greenville Community or etc... If you have a question, We'll do our best to find you an answer. So use this blog as your "Magic Eight Ball" and ask away.

What's up A'lyssa great question and Congrats on the upcoming Graduation. I spoke with a friend of mine in the financial aid office and I was told that they normally generate reports that identify those students that will be graduating early or in December. Once these reports are generated they go in and prorate the financial aid package for you before the start of the term. You can expedite your process by contacting your financial aid counselor and have them update your package with the appropriate graduation date. Hope this helps.

Hi :) I had a question about financial aid and accepting awards. Fall 2011 will be my last semester at ECU, I'm graduating in December and I was just wondering how much of my loans I should accept. Of course I will accept enough to cover my tuition for that semester but will it be reimbursed to me for both fall and spring or should I only accept all of it and see if the financial aid office will give me the rest all at once in the fall since I won't be here for the spring. Thanks so much for your time :)

Hello Geeyun.

Once you've submitted all of the appropriate forms you should hear something from the Financial Aid office no later than June 30th.

Housing assignments haven't been sent out yet, but you should be receiving your assignment in the next couple of weeks through your ecu.edu email account. If you have any other questions about living on campus, feel free to send your question to housing@ecu.edu. They have someone ready to answer these types of questions for you.

As for transportation that goes out of the city of Greenville, there is a bus station and an airport. University Parking and Transportation also offers a Zimride and Zipcar program.

Hey Geeyun,

You still need to submit the Parent Asset Form which is available here.

I know the university offers Zip Cars for rent as an alternative form of transportation.

Were we already suppose to receive our financial aid packages and room assignments and such? Also, is there like a transportation method that can take us out of town if needed instead of ECU transit? Thanks :)

What's up Addison congrats on becoming a Pirate! Greenville, NC is a long way from England dude that's awesome...As far as day to day it's pretty laid back, yet there is always something to do. Greenville is what you make it and ECU is a cool place to go to school, you will see what I mean when you attend your first Pirate Football game. Kiersa is spot on with the links she provided in here post below. ECU Transit will keep you on schedule when it comes to the bus routes and times. Off Campus Resources will help you with all your off campus housing needs. I will have to say though there is nothing like dorm life at least for that first year to get use to everything on campus. Again congrats and feel free to hit us up anytime.

GO PIRATES!

Off Campus Resources there is the link for resources if you plan on living off campus. You will find apartment information as well as other infor there. For info on the transit system, you can check here ECU Transit . Hope that helps! Let us know if you need any other help.
